This split level contemporary dwelling outside Clonakilty was designed in response to the site features and the context of the buildings in the locality so that the dwelling fades into the landscape. The massing of the dwelling is broken down into two main blocks separating the bedrooms and ancillary spaces to the rear of the property from the main living accommodation to the front of the property. The orientation of the building is carefully considered to maximise natural light and to capture the stunning views of the inlet.
