Dunmanway Heritage Centre

This former Methodist Church has been sensitively converted to a Cultural and Heritage Centre thanks to the generous philanthropy of the Atkins family. This building is a Protected Structure in Dunmanway, West Cork. It was built in 1836 with an annex added in 1899. The strict classicism façade was a result of renovations done to the building in 1913. The renovation of the building required the use of traditional materials, renewal where possible and replacement where necessary. New works and internal changes required sensitivity to context and were executed in a clear contemporary manner.
